β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Hemangiolymphangioma (HL) is an extremely rare malformation of both the lymphatic and blood vessels. We present a case of fetal axillary HL that was diagnosed sonographically at 36 weeks' gestation. Sonographic examination revealed a large, multilocular, cystic mass consistent with lymphangioma. At birth, a giant hemangioma was noticed involving the right hemitruncus. Based on clinical and sonographic findings, a diagnosis of HL was made. Surgical treatment was considered but was refused by the parents. The neonate died at 14 days of age, possibly due to an intralesional hemorrhage. Β© 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Clin Ultrasound, 2007

Several syndromes and aneuploidies are associated with ocular abnormalities including up-and down-slanting palpebral fissures. We describe a technique for the sonographic assessment of the fetal palpebral fissure slant which was used in 70 normal pregnancies from 14 to 36 weeks of gestation. In a fr
We report on a familial case of Pena-Shokeir syndrome type I (fetal akinesia deformation sequence) born to healthy parents. The antenatal ultrasound diagnosis was based on hydramnios, restricted limb movements, decreased fetal chest movements, small chest, arthrogryposis, clubfoot, fixed extension o
## Abstract We report a case of lateral facial cleft (Tessier 7) diagnosed by sonography at a gestational age of 24 weeks. Twoβdimensional sonography revealed a fetus appropriate for gestational age without obvious anomaly, but a threeβdimensional sonogram with surface mode rendering showed asymmet
## Abstract Short umbilical cords are associated with fetal anomalies, often including those with decreased or absent fetal movement, fetal akinesia/hypokinesia sequence, and restrictive dermopathies and aneuploidy. In normal fetuses, abnormally short umbilical cords have been associated with an in
The presence of theca-lutein ovarian cysts in the early second trimester of pregnancy is highly suspicious for a complete hydatidiform molar pregnancy but can be seen in association with a partial mole. Theca-lutein cysts may occur following hormonal stimulation for assisted reproductive techniques
