## Abstract Rhodamine‐123 (Rh123) was iodinated with ^123^I in presence of Iodogen. Yield of the labelled Rh123 varied greatly depending upon various reaction parameters. Optimum reaction conditions with respect to molarity and pH of the buffer, reaction time, amounts of iodogen, carrier iodide and

## Abstract To develop new radioligands labelled with radioiodine (^125^I, ^131^I and ^121^I) for in vitro and in vivo dopamine receptor studies, three iodinated butyrophenones (2′‐iodospiperone, 2′‐iodotrifluperidol and 2′‐iodohaloperidol) were designed, synthesized and labelled with ^125^I.
The toxicity of cationic fluorescent dye, rhodamine 123, towards a n u m b e r of independently established cell lines from three different species, namely human, mouse, and Chinese hamster, has been examined. All of the cell lines from any one species that were examined were found to exhibit simila
