โœฆ Synopsis

The decay kinetics of NH2 radicals formed by flad~ photolysis of NH3 f-02 and NH3 + N, mixtures at total pressures below 30 Torr were studied using the inrra-caviry laser spectroscopy technique. An upper limit of 3 X IO-l8 cm3 molecule-' s-' wx measured for the reaction of NH2 with oxygen. The data reported in the literature are discussed;

The reaction of the NH, radical with NO, NH2 +NO+k, products, was investigated using intracavity laser spectroscopy. The temperature dependence of k, [T) over the range 295-620 K is well approximated by the expression k, ( T) = (2,0? 0.4) X 1 O-'I x (T/298)-"' cm3 s-l. The branching ratios for the

The geometries of the reactant, products, and transition state of the title reaction were optimized at the UHF and UMP2 levels with the double and triple zeta basis sets as well as polarization functions by using the energy-gradient method. The potential-energy barrier for this reaction is 3.73 kcal
