✦ Synopsis

The reaction of the NH, radical with NO, NH2 +NO+k, products, was investigated using intracavity laser spectroscopy. The temperature dependence of k, [T) over the range 295-620 K is well approximated by the expression k, ( T) = (2,0? 0.4) X 1 O-'I

x (T/298)-"' cm3 s-l. The branching ratios for the OH radical, LY= (k,,+k,,)/k,, where NHI+NO-+k,,N,H+OH+A,, N2+ H t OH, obtained at different temperatures over the range 295-620 K are as follows: a(295 K) =O. 1 kO.02; (~(470 K) =0.14 kO.03; cu(620K)=0.2+0.04.

The rate constants for the reaction of OH radicals with a series of 1 chloroalkanes were measured at 295 K and at a total pressure of 1 atm. The rate constants were obtained by using the absolute technique of pulse radiolysis combined with kinetic UV-spectroscopy. The results are discussed in terms
