✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Methoximation of reducing oligosaccharides, combined with the additional derivatization of hydroxy groups, yields derivatives suitable for capillary supercritical fluid chromatography with thermionic detection. Detection limits on the order of picogram‐per‐second can easily be achieved. The utility of this analytical procedure has been verified by the analysis of the carbohydrate content of chicken trypsin inhibitor.

## Abstract A stopped‐flow procedure for capillary supercritical fluid Chromatography with Fourier transform infrared detection is described. The flow of mobile phase is stopped so that the analyte peak is held under liquid conditions in the flow cell while FTIR scans are recorded. An increase in t

## Abstract A splitless injection method using make‐up flow was developed for SFC. Dilution of sample solvent with carbon dioxide mobile phase was very effective for focusing the solutes onto the column. Injection of a 4.5‐μl sample volume on a 100‐μm i.d. capillary column became possible.
