## Abstract **BACKGROUND:** __Fusarium__ head blight of wheat is a destructive disease in various wheatβgrowing regions and leads to significant yield losses for farmers and to contamination of cereal grains with mycotoxins, mainly deoxynivalenol and its derivatives. Toxigenic __Fusarium__ species
