โฆ Synopsis
The production of zinc atoms in multiphoton dissociation of zinc dialkyls is probed via the resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization technique. Asymmetric power-dependent broadening of resonant line profiles is observed. The dependence of resonant zinc ion yield is analyzed as a function of wavelength and intensity of laser field. Evidence is obtained that the dissociative production of ground state zinc atoms is suppressed with increasing laser intensity.

A photoelectron spectroscopy study on resonantly enhanced multiphoton dissociative ionization of molecular hydrogen in a three-photon excitation scheme is reported. Measurements indicate two different dissociation processes. In one process the molecule is first ionized and subsequently dissociated,
