โœฆ Synopsis

The multiphoton-ionization spectroscopy of NH3 hasbeen explored using three-photon ionization through a two-photon resonant intermediate state. This method provides seatly inaeased sensitivity when compared to three-photon es&&on to the intermediate state.

The photodesorption of NH3 from GaAs (100) at 193 nm has been characterized using 2 + 1 resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI) spectroscopy via the intermediate B state. The final state distribution ofphotodesorbed NH3 is nonthermal: the translational and rotational distributions can be a

The production of zinc atoms in multiphoton dissociation of zinc dialkyls is probed via the resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization technique. Asymmetric power-dependent broadening of resonant line profiles is observed. The dependence of resonant zinc ion yield is analyzed as a function of wavelen
