IV. CONCLUSION

In this letter, we have presented a photonic phase-modulatorrup-converter device which may be employed in remote digital microwave link applications. This device performs both phase modulation and harmonic up-conversion of an electrical signal. Simulation results have been provided for 8-PSK modulation, and up-conversion of a 5.5 GHz LO driving signal to the 38.5 GHz MMW band. For this range of frequencies, optical spans up to 8 km provide good quality remote digital microwave link transmissions.
