Results of wave-dispersed third harmonic generation measurements in sublimed Cso thin films are reported and discussed within a three-level model. Two strong resonant enhancements in cubic susceptibility xc3) ( -3~; o, w, w) are observed. The first one, occurring at a fundamental wavelength of 1.3 p

✦ Synopsis
Interfacial properties have been measured, using surface pressure-area and surface potential-area isotherms at the air-water interface, for buckminsterfullerene, CbO, pure and mixed with arachidic acid. The results show that ChO agglomerates and forms an irregular film at the air-water interface, even when mixed with a long-chain fatty acid. Vibrational properties were observed with inelastic electron tunneling spectroscopy (IETS) for a film of pure C6,, prepared by the spinning technique. The assignment of frequencies for the 46 vibrational modes of CGO was accomplished.
