โฆ Synopsis
IR predissociation spectra of SiF4 and CF-,Br clusters have been studied by attenuating a molecular beam with a Linetunable cw CO* laser. The (SiFa)z dimer dissociation spectrum of the three-folddegenerate y3 spectrum behaves sirntily to that of (SF&, and permitted the determination of the linewidth (rz = 4.7 ? 0.4 cm-') and line splitting (a = 6.2 c 0.2 cm-') parameters. The predissociation spectrum of (CFsBr)I. excited into the vt vibration, turns out to be vert different from the (SiF& spectrum. A qualitative explanation of the (CFsBr)? spectrum is grven.

CFCl has been studied in molecular beams by the IRMPD of CF,CFCl. The excitation spectra of CFCl are characterized by numerous hot bands with well-resolved rotational structure. The vibrational frequencies and the major rotational constants for the ground and excited states were determined. The init
