The excited singlet and triplet absorption spectra of hematoporphyrin diacetate are presented. Extinction coefficients in the spectral range 420-700 nm are estimated. Two possible mechanisms of step excitation are proposed. The maximal stepexcitation efficiency is achieved at 450 nm.
The sin$ct-triplet absorption spectra of truns-azo-methane, truns-azo-ethane, trawls-azo-n-propane, and trans-azo-isopropane have been measured using the technique of oxygen perturbation. It was found that the triplet level lies 55.5 + 1.5 kcal mole-' above the ground state in these compounds. These
New excited singlet-singlet &-St) absorption spectra were observed in the case of TCNB complexes with benzene, toluene as well as mesitylene, pyromellitic dianhydride-toluene complex and p.dicyanobenzene-cr-rnethyInaphthalene complex at room temperature. All spectra can be well reproduced by a super
