The transdermal iontophoretic delivery of Leuprolide, a nonapeptide LHRH agonist was studied with the aim of understanding the mechanisms of iontophoresis. Permeation studies were carried out at pH 4.5 and 7.2, at which the average ionic valence of the drug molecule was roughly 2 and 1, respectively
