Reaction of potassium hydridotris(5-methyl-3-phenylpyrazoly)borate with copper(II) acetate in methanol at room temperature gives the title compound, [Cu(C 30 H 28 BN 6 )-(C 2 H 3 O 2 )]. The Cu atom is five-coordinated by three N atoms from pyrazolyl groups and two O atoms from the acetate ligand.

In the title complex, [Zn(C 18 H 14 N 4 O 2 )]ÁCH 3 OH, two anionic 2-(1H-imidazol-2-yl)phenolate bidentate ligands coordinate through the phenolate O and imidazolyl N atoms to the central Zn II atom to give a four-coordinate tetrahedral geometry.
