Fast atom bombardment (FAB), FAB mass-analysed ion kinetic energy (FAB MIKE) and collision-activated dissociation (FAB CAD-MIKE) mass spectra were obtained for two series of unsaturated anomeric aryl Cglycosides. These tandem mass spectrometric techniques allowed the differentiation of the anomers b

✦ Synopsis
Fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry of alkali metal cationized unsaturated C-glycosides is a useful method for the determination of the molecular masses of tbese compounds. The mass-analyzed ion kinetic energy and collision-activated dissociation mass-analyzed ion kinetic energy spectra of the pairs of anomers are distinguishable and are characteristic of each anomer.

Fragmentations of N-benzyloxycarbonyl-protected tetrapeptide ethyl esters containing L-alanine and L-proline, in which changes in the numbers and positions of prolyl residues were observed, were studied by negative-ion fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry. ## Abstract The fast atom bombardment (FAB), frit‐FAB and electrospray ionization mass spectra of bis‐ammonium salts, C^2+^ 2X^−^, were compared. The most informative spectra were the FAB mass spectra with __m__‐nitrobenzyl alcohol as matrix and the Frit‐FAB mass spectra. The nucleophilic character
The positive-ion fast atom bombardment mass spectra of permethylated aldo-and pseudoaldobiouronic acids can be used to distinguish these classes of compounds. The collisional-induced dissociation spectra of the IM + HI+ ions show fragment ions resulting from glycosidic bond cleavage and successive l
