✦ Synopsis
Abstract
The fast atom bombardment (FAB), frit‐FAB and electrospray ionization mass spectra of bis‐ammonium salts, C^2+^ 2X^−^, were compared. The most informative spectra were the FAB mass spectra with m‐nitrobenzyl alcohol as matrix and the Frit‐FAB mass spectra. The nucleophilic character of the iodine anion was established.

The observed fragmentations in collisionally activated dissociation (CAD) spectra of CX' adduct ions formed in the fast atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectra of C2'2X-bisammonium salts are the same as those previously put forward to account for the FAB mass spectra of these compounds. Thus, substituti
## Abstract In this mass spectrometry (MS) study of doubly charged porphyrin salts, fast atom bombardment (FAB) and matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) MS techniques are utilized to examine several unique ionic species. The predominant transformation of preformed doubly charged ions
Photofrin (porfimer sodium) is a porphyrin derivative used in the treatment of a variety of cancers by photodynamic therapy. This oligomer complex and a variety of porphyrin monomers, dimers and trimers were analyzed with five different mass spectral ionization techniques: fast atom bombardment, UV
