✦ Synopsis

Abstract

2‐Amino‐1,5‐dihydro‐1‐[methyl‐^2^H~3~] 4H‐imidazol‐4‐one ([methyl‐^2^H~3~] creatinine) was obtained by acidification and heating (120 °C, 120 min) of the [methyl ‐^2^H~3~] N‐amidinosarcosine (creatine) synthesised by methylation of guanidoacetate (GA) with S‐adenosyl‐[methyl‐^2^H~3~] L‐methionine ([methyl‐^2^H~3~] AdoMet) in the presence of rat liver guanidoacetate methyltransferase (GAA‐MT). Isotopic enrichment was 94.7%.

## Abstract A new reaction setup for kinetic enzymatic resolution was established and is demonstrated for the case of the hydrolase‐catalysed conversion of methyl 2,3‐dihydro‐1__H__‐indene‐1‐carboxylate (**1**) in conjunction with a base‐catalysed racemisation. The system allows controlled racemisa

A rapid, efficient method is described for the enzymatic conversion of S-adenosyl-L-[2(n)-3H]methionine to S-adenosyl-r-[2(n)-3H]homocysteine. Partially purified glycine N-methyltransferase is used in the reaction which yields 98% conversion. The product is purified using high-pressure liquid chroma
