A method for separation of amino acid methyl or phenyl thiohydantoins by GLC on a short glass capillary column is described. Calculations of required parameters of the capillary column are presented. By the described methods, nineteen of twenty silylated methylthiohydantoins were separated in one ru

## Abstract An enantiomeric mixture of amino acids is derivatized to give the respective __N(O)__โ€perfluoroacyl alkyl esters which can be resolved directly by gas chromatography on a Chirasilโ€Val capillary column. The retention times, resolution numbers, and elution order are reported.
