With this issue, Head & Neck completes its 21st year of publication. Since its founding by Alan Nahum, MD, the journal has grown substantially in content as well as impact within the specialty of head and neck surgery and medicine. Under the editorial leadership of Dr. Nahum's successor, Helmuth Goepfert, MD, Head & Neck became more focused on head and neck oncology and established as an information resource for clinicians and basic scientists committed to advancing the frontier of tumor biology, head and neck cancer therapy, and reconstruction.
