β¦ Synopsis
An operator,
called the dual-rate transfer function, describing a dual-rate discretized continuous-time system is presented. It can be easily related to single-rate transfer functions of the same system, and its parameters can be experimentally estimated. Based on these models, two adaptive control strategies are outlined, and some results are illustrated by a simple example.

We present a new adaptive control scheme where the control is chosen both to regulate and to elicit informarion. This is done by minimizing the one-step-ahead expected squared output, subject to a constraint on the trace of the one-step-ahead information matrix. We also incorporate a covariance-adap
In this note the effect of the adaptation gains on the rate at which a repetitive control law forces an error to zero is presented. Once determined, a design procedure is suggested for how to choose the gains for the repetitive control law.

The effect of parameter uncertainties on the optimal control of a stochastic system manifests itself in the following: it can cause the control to be more cautious or to probe in order to enhance the identification of the system while in operation.
