โฆ Synopsis
A passively Q-switched mode-locked all-solid-state YVO~4~/Nd:YVO~4~ composite crystal laser with a low-temperature (LT)-GaAs saturable absorber mirror was realized. Q-switched mode-locking pulses laser with about 100% modulation depth was obtained at the pump power of 3 W and the mode-lock pulse trains inside the Q-switch pulse envelope have a repetition rate of โผ 110 MHz. An average output power of 4 W was achieved at the pump power of 18 W, corresponding to an optical slope efficiency of 22.2%. The instability of the laser was 0.12% at the pump power of 15 W.
