We report for the first time a Nd:GdVO 4 laser operating in a continuous wave (CW) on the quasi-three-level laser at 893 nm, based on the 4 F 3/2 -4 I 9/2 transition, generally used for a 912 nm emission. The use of a pump module with 16 passes through the crystal allowed the realization of a Nd:GdV

β¦ Synopsis
Self-Raman frequency conversion in a diode-pumped passively Q-switched Nd:GdVO 4 laser has been demonstrated. The use of LiF:F - 2 crystal as a saturable absorber has provided effective Q-switching of the Nd:GdVO 4 laser with high pulse energy. The laser pulse duration at the 1 st Stokes wavelength 1174 nm was as short as 500 ps. Diode-to-Raman optical conversion efficiency more than 2 % at the pulse peak power of 9 kW was achieved. a.u.

A diode-pumped actively Q-switched and modelocked Nd:GdVO4 laser with great average output power and high efficiency was realized by using a comparative simple configuration and a short cavity length. The laser generates stable mode-locked pulses of estimated width 240 ps lying underneath a Q-switch
Lasing characteristics of a diode-pumped injection seeded Tm,Ho:GdVO4 laser is presented in this letter. A Qswitched output energy of as much as 2 mJ at 20 Hz with a pulse width of 170 ns was obtained. Single-frequency, nearly transform-limited operation of the laser was achieved by injection seeded
A quasi-continuously pumped picosecond oscillatoramplifier Nd:GdVO4 laser system based on two identical slabs in a single bounce geometry is reported. Pulse duration is from 160 to 55 ps resulting from the pulse shortening along the extended mode locked train from passively mode locked oscillator, w
Higher order processes that produced visible fluorescence observed in Nd:GdVO4 laser crystals pumped by 808 nm diode-laser were studied in the spectroscopic measurements. These processes were the energy transfer upconversion and the excited state absorption. The green, orange and the red emissions c
