✦ Synopsis

The title compound, [Zn 2 (C 22 H 20 Cl 2 N 4 O 2 )(H 2 O) 2 ](NO 3 ) 2 , was obtained by the ion-exchange reaction of a dinuclear zinc(II)-diperchlorate complex of the macrocycle with Zn(NO 3 ) 2 Á6H 2 O. The complex lies about a centre of symmetry and the coordination about the Zn atom is distorted square pyramidal. Intermolecular hydrogen bonds andstacking interactions form a three-dimensional supramolecular network.
