Several microorganisms including Pseudomonas fluorescens, Ps. putida, -Bacillus megaterium, Acinetobacter lwofii, Klebsiella oxytoca, 5. pneumoniae, Serratia rubidaea and Bulleromyces albus were selected for the ability to assimilate specifically L-malic acid.
