## Abstract Activation of the SiB inter‐element bond with copper(I) alkoxides produces copper‐based silicon nucleophiles that react readily with aldehydes to yield α‐silyl alcohols (that is, α‐hydroxysilanes) after hydrolysis. Two independent protocols were developed, one employing a well‐defined
