✦ Synopsis

Ruthenium-Catalyzed Dimerization of Terminal Alkynes Initiated by a Neutral Vinylidene Complex.

-The catalytic coupling of alkynes (III) or (VI) in the presence of Ru complexes such as (I) or (II) leads to butenynes with both conversion and selectivity strongly depending on the alkyne substituent. The vinylidene Ru complexes such as (II) are observed as catalytic precursors in all reactions. -(SLUGOVC, C.; MERE-
