A Concise, Stereoselective Synthesis of (ยฑ)-Geissoschizine.

-The stereoselective synthesis of (ยฑ)-geissoschizine (VIII) is based on the addition of the enolate derived from 1-acetylindole (I) to the pyridinium salt (II) and cyclization of the resultant 1,4-dihydropyridine.
