## Abstract The reaction Cl + H~2~CO โ†’ HCl + HCO has been studied at 295 K. Chlorine atoms were produced via the infrared laser induced dissociation of CCl~3~F, using a pulsed CO~2~ TEA laser. Using HCl infrared chemiluminescence as the diagnostic, we find the rate constant to be 7.4 ยฑ 0.7 ร— 10^โˆ’11

Emission spectra have been obtained during the gas-phase reaction of F, with CSa on substitution with carbon-13 and sulfur-34 in effort to ascertain the identity of the emitter. Absence of any measurable shift in the vibronic bands on substitution with carbon-13 suggests that carbon is not present i

The chemiluminescence reaction of five thiazide diuretic compounds with tris(2,2'-bipyridinejruthenium(II1) is studied by flow injection over a range of pH values of the carrier stream. The optimum pH range was generally 4-6. One compound, hydroflumethiazide, could be detected at the 0.06 pmole (1 n
