✦ Synopsis

The title compound, {(C~10~H~16~N)[Cd(SCN)~3~]}~n~, contains [(C~6~H~5~CH~2~)N(CH~3~)~3~]^+^ cations lying between one-dimensional chains of stoichiometry {[Cd(SCN)~3~]^−^}~n~. Each Cd^II^ ion is 3__N__,3__S__-hexacoordinated by thiocyanate ligands, in an octahedral fac arrangement. The asymmetric unit contains two cations and two anions.
