✦ Synopsis
In the title complex, [Mn(C 22 H 17 N 3 ) 2 ](ClO 4 ) 2 , the MnN 6 coordination geometry is distorted octahedral, involving the six N atoms of two 4 0 -(4-methylphenyl)-2,2 0 :6 0 ,2 00 -terpyridine (ttp) ligands. The two chelated ttp planes are almost perpendicular, with a dihedral angle of 89.1 (5) . The packing involves intermolecular C-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds between the ttp ligands and perchlorate anions. The latter are disordered over two positions, one with almost equal occupancy and the other in a ratio of ca 0.7:0.3.
