In the title compound, [Co(C 11 H 9 ClN 3 O 2 ) 2 ]Á2.5H 2 O, the Co II atom, which lies on a twofold rotation axis, is coordinated by four N atoms and two O atoms from two ligands in a distorted octahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked together by intermolecular O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds.
