✦ Synopsis

The title compound, [Co(C 4 H 7 N 2 O 2 ) 2 (NO 2 )(H 2 O)]ÁH 2 O, is a distorted octahedral Co III complex with two dimethylglyoximate ligands in the equatorial plane and nitro and aqua substituents in the axial positions. The two dimethylglyoximate ligands are involved in intramolecular hydrogen bonds. Coordinated and uncoordinated water molecules participate in O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds, linking the cobalt complexes into a three-dimensional network.
