A high-performance liquid chromatographic method was developed to determine stobadin pharmacokinetics in dog and man. The relative bioavailability of stobadin dipalmitate compared with dihydrochloride was 46.4 per cent in dog. In man peak serum concentrations ranged from 12 to 289 ng ml-1 after a si

โฆ Synopsis
An improved isocratic high performance liquid chromatographic method for the quantification of solasodine, an alternative precursor for the commercial production of steroid drugs, is reported. A highly sensitive and reproducible assay for solasodine quantification was achieved using a base-deactivated C-8 column and an acidic mobile phase. Sharp symmetrical peaks were obtained and a linear relationship between the amount of solasodine injected and the area under the peak was achieved. The method allows the simultaneous identification and quantification of solasodine in plant tissue samples at amounts as low as 0.40 mg, and reports the actual amounts of solasodine in the sample rather than the "solasodine equivalents" as determined by previously published methods.

Eleutherosides were extracted with aqueous methanol and analysed by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography on a C-18 column. Recovery was better than 80% for eleutheroside B within the concentration range 500 to 10,000 mg, and similarly for eleutherosides E in the range 500 to 2,500 m
A simple and sensitive reversed-phase liquid chromatographic method has been developed and validated for the analysis of nicardipine in human plasma and the study of the pharmacokinetics of the drug in human body. Nicardipine and nimodipine (internal standard) in plasma were extracted with hexane-bu
