Knowledge and Comprehension Levels. Reanalysis of the items employing an objective item-placement procedure put more items at the higher taxonomic levels and also yielded a patt.ern of item data that suggested that if a hierarchy exists, it may be of a form opposite to that proposed by the Taxonomy. Lastly, the data did indicate that there was a difference between what an item was intended to measure and what it actually did measure.
