The resonance Raman scattering (RRS) of 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol in the neutral, basic and acidic solutions was reinvestigated. On the basis of the states of polarization of the Raman bands in neutral solution and possible tautomeric forms of the compound in basic, acidic and neutral media, the o

β¦ Synopsis
We present the Raman and photoluminescence (PL) spectra of CuGaS 2 : Cd grown by iodine transport method. The PL spectra of CuGaS 2 showed both band gap and deep center emission, while for CuGaS 2 : Cd the deep center emission was suppressed completely and a new strong emission at 2.31 eV with an activation energy of 97 meV appeared. The pressure dependence of the Raman spectra in CuGaS 2 : Cd has been measured up to about 8 GPa at room temperature. At above 1.76 GPa, the G 1 mode splits into two with frequencies of 313 and 315 cm --1 (G 0 1 ) in which the mode Gru Β¨neisen parameters are 1.50 and 1.47, respectively. The additional peak is considered by the localized phonon resulting from the cation Cd.
