✦ Synopsis

A hybrid receding-horizon control scheme for nonlinear discrete-time systems is proposed. Whereas a set of optimal feedback control functions is deΓΏned at the continuous level, a discrete-event controller chooses the best control action, depending on the current conditions of a plant and on possible external events. Such a two-level scheme is embedded in the structure of abstract hybrid systems, thus making it possible to prove a new asymptotic stability result for the hybrid receding-horizon control approach.

In this paper, a receding horizon control strategy is applied to a dynamic hybrid production system with deteriorating items. Given the current inventory level, we determine the optimal production rates to be implemented at the beginning of each of the following periods over the control horizon. The

This paper proposes a robust receding horizon control scheme for discrete-time uncertain linear systems with input and state constraints. The control scheme is based on the minimization of the worst-case one-step "nite horizon cost with a "nite terminal weighting matrix. It is shown that the propose
