✦ Synopsis

Abstract

In this article, a novel dual‐band band‐pass filter (BPF) using meandering stepped impedance resonators is proposed, since the advantage of their harmonic frequencies behavior, simple structures, and simple‐established design methodology.By selecting proper impedance ration (K) and the length ration (α), a dual‐band frequencies responses can be achieved. Using this structure, a dual‐band BPF performance at 2.4/5.25 GHz is designed. To improve the selectivity, two stubs are introduced into input/output lines to create another three transmission zeros. Both electromagnetic simulation and measurement results are presented. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 53:123–125, 2011; View this article online at wileyonlinelibrary.com. ## Abstract A new dual‐band bandpass filter (BPF) for 2.4/5.2 GHz WLAN systems using two‐stepped impedance resonators is presented. With new properly coupled structure, this filter appears very compact and easy to be fabricated. Measured results show that this BPF has low insertion loss of 0.3 dB a
