Abstract
An ultra‐narrow band band‐pass filter with Square open loop resonator (SOLR) is reported in this article. The designed OLR cell demonstrates compact size, broad band‐stop and good slow‐wave effect. An ultra‐narrow band band‐pass filter, incorporated with three SOLR cells, is simulated and measured to show low‐insertion loss and high‐selectivity. Good agreements between simulation and experiment are achieved. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this article, several square open‐loop resonators with transmission lines are proposed to design the optimized bandpass filters. A compact microstrip filter using an open‐loop resonator was designed, fabricated and measured. At the center frequency f~0~ = 1.80 GHz, a 3‐dB bandwidth o
## Abstract In this article, a novel type of compact tri‐band filter using stub‐loaded open‐loop ring resonators (OLRRs) is presented. With the open stub loaded, the resonant frequency of the OLRR can be tuned by the tapped location and length of the loaded stub, which makes the OLRR more compact. M
## Abstract This article presents the design and measurement of a microstrip band‐pass filter (BPF) using modified branch‐line coupler with asymmetric open‐circuit stubs in the W‐band frequency range. The fundamental topology consists of using the branch‐line coupler as a filtering section by loadi
A compact, band-pass filter utilizing multi-element resonators, structured from sections of distributed transmission lines, is presented. A band-pass filter design procedure is established that emphasizes CAD techniques to characterize the individual resonators and to determine the resonator couplin
