✦ Synopsis
The divergent synthesis of new dendritic polythionophosphates has been accomplished by a concise procedure involving phosphitylation of propanediol derivatives, followed by elemental sulfur addition, as the key steps.

The synthesis of unsymmetrical dendrimers possessing terminal methyl ester groups on one face, and iso-butylamide groups on the opposite face is reported. The final unsymmetrical dendrimers are obtained in high purity and therefore do not require complicated or excessive purification procedures.
A rapid and convenient solid-supported iterative divergent/convergent approach was developed to prepare rigid phenylacetylene dendrimers. The generation number grows very rapidly and the purification at each step is very simple.
The new organosilane 4-triallylsilylphenol (1) can be synthesised in high yield via two routes using either 4-bromophenol or its silyl-group protected derivative as starting materials. Compound 1 can be used in the divergent or convergent synthesis of carbosilane dendrimers or conversely as a readil
