Abstract

A new coplanar waveguide (CPW)โ€fed broadband printed slot antenna is presented. The impedance bandwidth is greatly increased by using a linear taper. The test antenna's impedance bandwidth of โˆ’10โ€dB return loss reaches 40% with low crossโ€polarization level. The impedance characteristics and radiation patterns of the slot antenna with different sizes of tapers are presented.
