✦ Synopsis

Abstract

In this paper, we describe a variation of a folded slot antenna that is formed by a nonuniform‐width slot. The antenna is fed by a coplanar waveguide on which a pair of small slits are located on both sides for broadband matching. The simulated results and measured data reveal that it enjoys a relatively wide bandwidth of 37.4%. Β© 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A tapered coplanar waveguide (CPW) transition is proposed in order to facilitate the connection between a slot antenna and coaxial connector. The broadband bow‐tie slot antenna is considered as an example in this design. The tapered transition is utilized to optimize the connection of t
