All of the mono-ynoic acids (excluding both terminal and conjugated acetylenic acids) of chain length C10 to C14 have been prepared. None of these acids show any useful inhibition of the enzyme PG-Synthetase which is used in the synthesis of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid.
