โฆ Synopsis
A capillary gas-liquid chromatographic method suitable for the assay of the atypical neuroleptic drug zotepine in human serum or plasma was developed. A liquid-liquid extraction with three subsequent extraction steps was applied for sample preparation. The minimum detectable concentration was 1.0 ng ml J. The within-day relative standard deviation (RSD) (n = 6) was 5.3% at 5 ng ml ~, 3.6% at 10 ng ml-1 and 6.1% at 100 ng ml 1. The day-to-day RSD (n = 6) was 9.3% at 10 ng ml-t and 5.1% at 100 ng ml t. Steady-state serum levels of four schizophrenic patients were measured.

A liquid chromatographic method for the determination of danazol in human serum has been developed. Reversed-phase C8 and C18 columns were used with a column-switching valve, isocratic elution and UV detection. Sample pretreatment involved extraction of the drug with pentane-methylene chloride. The
A method employing solvent extraction and. gas-liquid chromatography is described which can detect as little as 0,015 ,ug of methadone per ml of human plasma. The method has been used to determine the concentration of methadone in plasma samples from normal volunteers given a single dose of methadon
Cases of acute poisoning by overdosing of dextropropoxyphene, which is awidely used analgesic, have appeared with growing frequency during the past few years. A method for the .relatively rapid determination of dextropropoxyphene and its major metabolite nordextropropoxyphene is thus required. Previ
