## Abstract The difference between ^1^H NMR spectra obtained during euβ and hyperglycemia exhibited wellβresolved glucose peaks between 3 and 4 ppm as demonstrated by comparison with solution spectra. Estimated increases were consistent with recent ^13^C NMR quantitations of intracerebral glucose.

## Abstract Measurement of the resonances of glucose between 3.2 and 3.9 ppm in ^1^H NMR spectra from the human brain is difficult due to spectral overlap with peaks from more concentrated metabolites. The H1 resonance of Ξ±βDβglucose at 5.23 ppm is resolved from other metabolite peaks, but potentia
## Abstract Localized ^1^H NMR spectra at TE = 12 ms were obtained from cerebralcortex of human subjects using ISIS with surface suppression. The 2.29βppm resonance was assigned to C4 glutamate with contributions from C4 glutamine and GABA using __in vivo__ spectral editing and comparison of chemic
