Abstract
1βMonoβ and previously unknown 1,2βdisubstituted 1,2βdihydroβ3,1βbenzoxazinβ4βones 7 and 9, potential prodrugs of flufenamic acid (6) and mefenamic acid (8), and 4__H__β1,2βdihydroβpyridoβ[2,3βd]β[1,3]βoxazinβ4βones 11, potential prodrugs of niflumic acid (10), were prepared; the structures of all new compounds wereconfirmed by spectroscopic methods.
