✦ Synopsis

The title compound, [Fe(C 5 H 5 )(C 14 H 16 N)], has been synthesized to act as a precursor to ferrocenylaminophosphines. The dihedral angle between the substituted cyclopentadienyl plane and the plane of the phenyl ring is 65.0 (2) .

In the title compound, [PdCl{Fe(C 5 H 5 )(C 15 H 17 NO)}-(C 18 H 15 P)] or [FePd(C 5 H 5 )(C 15 H 17 NO)Cl(C 18 H 15 P)], the Pd II atom is in a slightly distorted square-planar environment. The dihedral angle between the two cyclopentadienyl rings of the ferrocenyl group is 6.4 (1) .
