✦ Synopsis

The title compound, C~9~H~10~CIN~3~S, was prepared by the reaction of thiosemicarbazide with 1-(2-chlorophenyl)ethanone at room temperature. The packing is stabilized by hydrogen bonds. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked into two-dimensional layers by intermolecular N—H...S hydrogen-bonding interactions.
