Abstract

Cis‐ and trans‐2‐hydroxycyclohexylamides of α‐aminoacids, a new class of potential tridentate chelating agents, have been synthesized. The complexing properties of several of these compounds have been investigated.

## Abstract Entgegen den übereinstimmenden Angaben mehrer Autoren fanden wir für die α‐Hydroxy‐adipinsäure einen Smp. von 102–103°, anstatt 151–152°. Die Struktur der niedrigschmelzenden Säure konnte durch Synthese, Abbau und Lactonbildung gesichert werden.
