The hitherto unknown compounds 5-(2-Pyridyl) -t hiazole and 2-(N-Thiof ormyl-w-aminoacety1)-pyridine have been synthesized. The stability constants of the Cu2+-1 : 1complexes of 5-(2-P yridyl) -t hiazole , 2-(2-P yridyl) -t hiazole and 4-(2-Pyrid yl) -t hiazole have been measured and are discussed. Evidence for the coordination of the sulphur atom in 5-(2-Pyridyl)-thiazole is given.
