✦ Synopsis

Verfarbung und Sprodigkeit von Lackfilmen mit verschiedenen Weichmachungsmilteln und Kunstharzen in Beriihrung mit VPI-Papier wurden untersucht. Die Resultate ermoglichen es, Weichmader-und Harz-Kombinationen auszuwahlen, die gegen VPI 260 widerstandsfahig sind.

Influence of Shell V. P. I. 260 on Nitrocellulose-Lacquers I1 Discolouration and brittleness of lacquer-films with various plasticizers and synthetic resins in contact with VPI-paper have been studied. The results enable to select plasticizer-and resincombinations that are resistant against VPI 2GO.

## Abstract The autoxidation of a formazyl compound has been found to be specifically catalised by Zn^2^+. Cu^2^+, Ni^2^+, Co^2^+ and Cd^2^+ have no such effect. The reaction presumably takes place in an intermediate mixed complex with O~2~. It is partially inhibited by cyanide.
